European Festival Summer

The summer of 2008 is for Belgian conductor Ivan Meylemans (°1971) a ‘grand finale’ of a superb first season as a full-time conductor. He will be a guest at no less than three noteworthy European Music festivals. First he'll visit the Festival de Saintes with the Belgian wind ensemble I Solisti del Vento in a Dvorak-Brahms programme. Then he travels to the Festival Flâneries Musicales de Reims which invited him together with his Collegium Instrumentale Brugense to play the closure concert in a Haydn programme. And finally on to Switzerland to make his first appearance with the Luzern Festival Orchestra - Brass at the Lucerne Festival.
